Company and engineers

After you have installed Pirform, it is quick and easy to get started working on certificates.

Easily share company and engineer details between machines

You can easily share company and engineer details between machines. Read how to do that here exporting company details.

Company information

Open Pirform, and click the Company and Instruments tab, located at the bottom left of the Home Screen. Enter the company name, address and other details that you want to appear on your certificates.

Company and association logos

You can now set up the company and association logos that you want to appear on your certificates.

Note

Your logos need to be in an image file such as a .JPG, .PNG, .BMP, etc. You won't be able to use Word or PDF documents.

While still in the Company and Instruments tab, click Select Company Logo and select the the company logo you want to use. You will see a preview of how it will appear below the company address.

Add your association logo in a similar way by clicking Select Association Logo.

Download your association logo

You may need to download your association logo from their website.

Getting the image size correct

The sizes for the areas Pirform uses for your logos are shown in the table below.

Image Size
Company Logo 225 x 75
Association Logo 175 x 75
Signature 200 x 30

Pirform will stretch the image to fit this space so you don't have to make yours exactly the same size. Generally, if your images are the same proportions then they will look fine.

If you need to, you can easily edit images using an image editing program such as the Paint program that comes with Windows - click here to read how to use Paint.

Larger images are better

If the image is much smaller than the below then it may appear blurred or distorted as Pirform expands it to fit the space.

Test instruments

Now click Test Instruments to go to the area where you can set up your instruments. It is easiest to do this before you add the engineer so that we can associate the right instruments with the engineers when we add them later.

From here click Add Instrument in the ribbon and enter the details of the instrument in the grid.

Engineers

Now click Engineers and External Companies to go to the area where you can set up your engineers. From here click Add Engineer in the ribbon and enter the details of the engineer.

Automate selecting your instruments

Pirform automatically uses the instruments you set as default for the engineer in any new certificates you create.
